April My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #3 and Giveaway!

We're back for another countdown post, leading up to the release of the April My Monthly Hero kit! Release day is Monday, April 2nd at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. We’ll be sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as new optional add-on products that will be available on Monday. And don’t forget to comment on each and every post as we’ll be giving away a kit on Monday morning, before the kit launches! Here’s Amy with another card using the kit...

Hello! Have you been enjoying the sneak peeks of the April kit so far? I had so much fun with the main kit. It screamed to be paired up with bright colors.

All the stamped images are from the main kit. They have been stamped with Intense Black Ink and colored with alcohol markers. I enjoyed playing with the bright vibrant colors!

My card base is a panel from the Pool Mix Layering Papers pack teamed up with a panel from the Sunshine Mix Layering Papers pack.

I used a Nesting Oval Infinity Die to create a frame for my festive scenery. Those mice are so cute, aren't they?

The sentiment has been stamped on a black panel from the Midnight Mixed Layering Paper pack and embossed in white. Although the mice are the star of the show, I wanted to tuck in the potted cacti as part of the scenery.

The banner was colored with a coordinating color and I added enamel dots from my stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to come back later today for another sneak peek!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We'll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all the countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, April 2nd, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Today, I’m sharing a Christmas step-by-step card tutorial featuring the Polar Friends Stamp and Die Set by Simon Hurley. This card was inspired by the Christmas advertisements I remember seeing on television when I was a child in the 1990s. They often featured polar bears surrounded by...
