Hello there, Spellbinders fans! This is Enza, and I'm back with my third and last blog post showcasing the Cut and Emboss Folders. You can find my previous posts here and here.

My first card for today features the Diamond Lace Frame Cut and Emboss Folder. The delicate and intricate design of this folder is just beautiful – you don't need much more than a sentiment to complete your card. Here I decided to step it up a little, and create lots of dimension with a few elements and foam adhesive.

I started by embossing two 4”x5.25” panels of the same color. I then fussy cut only the central portion of one of them, heat-embossed my sentiment on it, and adhered it on top of the full panel with foam adhesive.

I backed the panel with different colored patterned papers before matting it with white card stock and placing it on top of the teal card base. To embellish it, I used some floral images I had in my stash to create two clusters, and finished the card off with clear drops.

The second card was created using the Botanical Frame Cut and Emboss Folder.

I wanted to use patterned paper for this panel, but I also knew that a busy pattern would have hidden the beautiful design created with the folder. So I went with a more subtle choice; you can see the darker roses on the paper, but that doesn't distract from the embossed image. I then backed my panel with teal card stock before adhering it to an A2 card base.

Next, the embellishments. Again, I didn't want or need to add much more; just three butterflies that I fussy cut from patterned paper, and a heat-embossed sentiment on the same teal card stock I used for my matting. Enamel dots in coordinating colors finished the card.
