2019 Oh What Fun Catalog Release + Blog Hop

Last month we introduced our 2019 Oh What Fun Winter Catalog, full of brand new stamps, dies, stencils, embellishments and more. Oh what fun it is, indeed!

Today is the day we've been waiting for - all of the wonderful products from this new release are available in the Hero Arts store right here on our website! Browse more than 70 new items and get ready to create for the upcoming season!

And of course, what's a release without a ton of inspiration? We've gathered together our talented Creative Team and some of our fabulous blogging friends for a blog hop to introduce all of the must-have products!

First, let's see what our friend Kelly Rasmussen has shared today...

My favorite new product from the catalog is the Merry Christmas Cover Plate die. This die-cuts a beautiful intricate winter scene that is sized perfectly for an A2-sized card. For my card today, I'm combining masking and Reactive Inks to create a simple Christmas card that I made in under 20 minutes (which may be a record for me)!

First, I die-cut the Merry Christmas Cover Plate die from masking paper and placed it on a panel of Dove White cardstock. Next, I used Blue Raspberry, Blue Hawaii and Berry Smoothie Reactive Inks along with a blender brush to create the gradient of color over the background. Make sure to overlap each color by about an inch to ensure a seamless blend!

Then I removed the masking paper to reveal the perfectly crisp lines. Anyone else get giddy when removing masking paper? It's truly a thing of beauty. :)

I trimmed the panel to be slightly smaller than a standard A2 card and then mounted it on a Dove White Top Folding Card with foam adhesive. The card would be perfect as is, but I just had to use some of our new Enamel Dots. I chose colors from the Aquas, Blues and Purples packs that coordinated perfectly with my ink colors. I just love these little accents so much! They come in the perfect sizes and colors!
