August My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway!

It's time for our final countdown post, and it's a special one. Our production manager, Arnie, is here to share some cards she created with this month's new add-on products, in between her duties of making sure all of your orders are assembled and shipped correctly by her team! Arnie loves playing with our products whenever she gets the chance!

Release day is tomorrow, Monday, August 6th at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. Be sure you've left comments on all of the countdown posts for the highest chance to win the kit we are giving away tomorrow morning. Now, take it away Arnie!

For my first card today, I began by stamping the new Floral Doily Bold Prints on light blue shimmer paper with VersaMark ink, and embossed it with White Puff Embossing Powder. I die cut the wings with the Paper Layering Angel Wings dies, which are part of our Winter release and will be in our store on August 22. They were cut from a glitter paper. Finally, I stamped, colored and die cut Kit-Tea Stamp & Cut, and for the message I embossed with Silver Embossing Powder using the same set.

For my second card, I used the Handmade Watercolor Paper for the card base. And on Radiant White Cardstock I again stamped and embossed the Floral Doily Bold Prints, this time using White Embossing Powder. After coloring with markers, I die cut using Nesting Oval Infinity Dies. The tea cup, spoon and message are from a new set called Spill the Tea, and were all embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We'll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all the countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, August 6th, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern time. The more you comment, the more chances to win! Good luck!

Today, I’m sharing a Christmas step-by-step card tutorial featuring the Polar Friends Stamp and Die Set by Simon Hurley. This card was inspired by the Christmas advertisements I remember seeing on television when I was a child in the 1990s. They often featured polar bears surrounded by...
