Awesome Add-ons: August Edition

Hi stampers, it’s time for this month’s Awesome Add-ons feature! Today Creative Team member Ilina Crouse is going to share some fabulous “beyond the kit” ideas for a few of the add-ons. Take it away, Ilina...

Hi everyone, I hope you are loving this release as much as I do. I am a coffee lover (or addict), so the entire release is right up my alley. So, I have two cards to share with you today.

For my first card I used the Spill the Tea set and matching Frame Cuts. I started by stamping the tea cup image onto watercolor friendly card stock using Intense Black ink, watercolored it and die cut it.

Next, I used the Floral Doily Bold Prints to stamp onto a Snow Layering Paper panel (3 3/4" x 5") using Versamark, embossed in white and ink blended with Soft Pool Shadow ink. For a finishing touch I stamped the sentiment onto Black Layering Paper and embossed in white, and trimmed to size. I assembled my card and added some Frost sequins to finish it off.

For my second card I used the Foam Animals set and coordinating Frame Cuts. I started by stamping the images onto alcohol marker friendly white card stock with Intense Black Ink and colored with Copic markers, then die cut. I added some highlights using white gel pen.

I cut a panel from Vellum layering paper, stamped and embossed the sentiment on it. I set these elements aside. Next, I cut a panel from Kraft Layering Paper and scored at each 1/4" to create a fun background. I assembled my card and added a strip of white corrugated card stock and some brown twine, along with Champagne sequins as finishing touch.
