January My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #2 + Giveaway!

We are back with another look at the January My Monthly Hero release! The kit will be available on Monday, January 8th at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. We’ll be sharing ideas for using the main kit and the optional add-on products all weekend long, so stay tuned for more inspiration! Now let’s join Clare, who is sharing another look at the main kit, available on Monday!

The details in this kit are so incredible and elegant, that you really don't need to add much to make a stunning card. This card, while a busy one, is actually quite easy and quick and to make!

I stamped the base layer of the large sentiment (from the main kit stamp set) in Passion Flower (included in the kit) and then stamped Raspberry Jam on top. An easy way to align these two layers is to look at the "leaves" on the sentiment. Look on the right tops of the 'L' and 'e' to see what I mean...

I then used a ruler to lightly draw a pencil line across the base. I did this at an angle, since the sentiment is already naturally angled and it just adds a bit of extra visual interest.

Then I adhered a piece of beautiful handmade Lovely Layering paper on the bottom of the card base, and adhered the stamped panel on the top.

The last step was to stamp and heat emboss the sentiment in White on Black cardstock, trim, and adhere to the base. Add some little pearls, and you're done!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, January 8, before the kit launches at 1 pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
