Looking Glass Friendship Card

Hello friends! This is Mindy and welcome back! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are able to sit back, relax and get some crafting time in.

My card today features the Looking Glass Girl With Balloon die set but I'm only going to use one of the dies. I thought these heart trees were just adorable and wanted to make them the center of attention!

I die cut the window from Deluxe Smooth White cardstock using my Alignment Tool. Then I colored the trees with Copic markers which I always think gives it a fun no-line coloring look. Behind the trees, I lightly ink blended Mist ink onto a white panel using a blending brush.

For the front of the card, I used a Rectangle Infinity Die to cut out a window, once again using my Alignment Tool. Then I stamped the Novel Prose background stamp over the top using Wet Cement ink.

To add a bit of interest, I swiped my ink pad on the edges of the card front and also added splatters of ink.

This could certainly be a Valentine's Day card but I really like sending friendship cards. I found a good sentiment in the Sending Love Mail stamp set. I stamped it in Unicorn White ink onto Cherry cardstock and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. I used my paper trimmer to trim this down to a thin strip and added it to the front of the card with foam squares.

So not only can you use your Looking Glass dies to layer them up and create a scene, but you can use them individually as well.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a fabulous new year! See you in 2023!
