Partners: Gina K. Designs + a Giveaway!

Hero Arts is celebrating our 45th Anniversary this year, and we are honored and humbled that Gina K. Designs is joining in the celebration! A special "Partners" Hero Arts + Gina K. Designs 6x8 clear stamp set is available on our website starting today, and at a retailer near you beginning August 9th! The PR101 HA + Gina K. Friendship Blooms is a super-sized set that is filled with one gorgeous floral cluster and 8 messages. We absolutely love it!

Check out this fabulous video tutorial Gina created to highlight the new set. We know you're going to want to give this technique a try!

If you are having trouble viewing this video, you can watch it HERE in HD on YouTube.

Kelly Rasmussen from our team also created a beautiful card to showcase Friendship Blooms in action. Take it away, Kelly!

I absolutely adore the large floral image and how it fills the entire front of a card with one easy stamp. I decided to white heat emboss the image and then use watercolor paints to color in the image. Once the flowers and leaves were colored in, I used a light gold metallic watercolor paint to color in the background around the image.

Once this piece was dry, I placed a piece of printer paper over the top and ironed over the top for about 10 seconds with a hot iron. This technique removes the white embossing and leaves a smooth finish, resulting in a hand-painted look. I also added some paint splatters to bring out the gold and emphasize the artistic feel of the card.

I mounted the panel on a card base made from Amethyst Cardstock . But before I did this I thought the edges of the panel needed some definition. I used some metallic gold watercolor to create a thin border all the way around and this did the trick. Such an easy way to make it look like you have another layer of paper, without adding any extra bulk!

The font combination of the messages in this set are perfection! To finish off the card, I gold heat embossed the message on Amethyst cardstock and popped it up over the top of some gold thread.

BLOG HOP! It wouldn't be a release celebration without some of our favorite artists taking part, now would it? We've put together a fun blog hop and will be giving away one of these gorgeous stamp sets to one lucky commenter, pulled randomly from one of the blogs below! Get your comments in by Sunday, August 4 at 11:59pm PT and we'll announce the winner the following week. Happy hopping!
