Simple Holiday Cards

Hey everyone. It's Dana Joy with you today. I'm sharing a simple holiday card to get you in the card making spirit. For my card today I'm using the Christmas Robins stamp set and coordinating Frame Cuts.

To begin, I stamped the bird house and bird in Intens-ified Black ink onto Dove White cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers in R24, R27, E23, E15, R89, YG17, B99. Next I used the Christmas Robins Frame Cuts.

For the background, I sponged the center of a piece of Dove White cardstock with Lemon Drop Reactive ink using my Hero Arts Ink Blending Brushes. I stamped the "good tidings to you" greeting from the Christmas Robins stamp set with Navy ink right below the ink blended circle. After trimming down the white inked panel, I layered it onto Nautical cardstock using Precision Glue and adhered this panel onto a A2 size card base made from Dove White cardstock. I used the Precision Glue for this as well.

To complete the card, I adhered down my bird house onto the inked panel, and popped up the bird with foam tape. Adding white faux stitching finished off my card nicely.

Thanks for joining me today. Hope I have inspired you to create simple, yet beautiful holiday cards.
