Stretching Your Frame Dies

Good morning! Jess here with a fun and simple way to get more use out of your frame dies!

I just love the new Jungle Frame Fancy Die that was released as an add-on with this month's My Monthly Hero kit and wanted to find different ways to use it! So I started by die-cutting it with Pitch Black cardstock. I cut it in half length-wise and set it aside. Next I took a panel of Dove White cardstock and masked off 1/2" of the bottom. Then I used a blending brush to carefully blend Aquatic Bold hybrid ink on the bottom of the panel fading out to white at the top. Then I adhered one panel of the Jungle Frame Fancy Die over the ink blended panel with precision glue and trimmed off the excess. Then I added foam mounting tape behind the second panel, adhered that over the first, and trimmed off the excess.

Next I stamped the beautiful toucans from Hello Toucan onto Dove White cardstock with Versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. I colored them with Copics and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I added a few accents with a white gel pen and then added a thin layer of clear lacquer to their beaks. I tucked onto of the toucans in between the jungle frame layers and then adhered the other toucan on top. I finished the card with a sentiment from Hello Toucan heat-embossed with detail black embossing powder and trimmed to a thin label!

I hope this gives you some ideas of other ways to use your frame dies! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!
