Hello crafty friends! This is Mindy here today and I am going to give a quick introduction on how to use the Hero Arts Letterpress + Foil Plates to create stunning and elegant cards.

In the video, I am going over the BetterPress System, how to ink up the plates and how to clean them. I will be using the Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cut machine, cotton card panels and Archival Ink but if you have any questions on the Letterpress plates working with other machines, be sure to contact Spellbinders directly.
I go over everything in detail in the video above, so down below I will quickly chat about the main supplies used.
My card project features the Happy Birthday Letterpress + Foil Plate . I am not covering foiling in today's video but please keep in mind you can use your Letterpress + Foil Plates just like your Glimmer Foil Plates with the Glimmer System. I will say, they foil with absolute perfection!
A word of caution though, it is a one way street. You CANNOT use your Glimmer Plates in the Letterpress system.
To create this fun birthday card, I stamped a background using the Candles Bold Prints stamp onto Paradise cardstock with Paradise ink.
I then created a window or frame for my sentiment with the Nesting Rectangles Infinity Dies .
Using the frame as a guide, I created the sentiment using Cotton Card Panels and Teal Topaz Archival Ink. While I didn't use it today, I highly encourage you to experiment with your Hero Arts inks and cardstock. I have done it myself on previous card projects and I know they work. I would suggest making sure your ink pads are nice and inky. Hero Arts Luxe White Watercolor Paper performs beautifully with the plates.
Super simple card but lots of subtle detail.
So why Letterpress + Foil Plates you may ask yourself? For me personally, I absolutely love the look of letterpress, either with or without inking them up. They are super simple to use and I can use them with my Glimmer System.

Thanks for showing us how to use the Letterpress, but are you advertising for Spellbinders? Because you have to buy the letterpress machine$ and the die cutting machine, especially if you $$own Heroarts die cutter. It would seem that Heroarts would design their own system since they are advertising Letterpress. I am puzzled.
