Video: Happy Birthday with the Hero Lifestyle Collection

Hi everyone! Ilina here! Today I have fun kid friendly birthday card to share with you along with a video on how to make the card. I used the Confetti Bold Prints background stamp, along with the Hero Lifestyle Forms Fancy Dies , Hero Lifestyle Picnic Day and Hero Lifestyle Faces.

Watch the video below to see how this card came to be (or click HERE to watch on YouTube).

To make the card start with a piece of Dove White cardstock measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Ink blend Lemon Drop , Creamsicle and Taffy Reactive ink. Set it aside so the ink dries. In the meantime die cut elements to build the little girls and the kite using the Hero Lifestyle Forms Fancy Dies and Hero Lifestyle Picnic Day from Dove White , Peony , Arctic , Papaya , Chestnut and Pitch Black cardstock. Color the body using alcohol markers (I used Copics, but you can use any coloring medium of your choice). Ink blend Taffy, Pool Party , Creamsicle and Root Beer Reactive Inks on all the elements and add details with white gel pen. Assemble the girl and the kite. Stamp face and freckles from the Lifestyle Face set. Set aside.

Stamp the Confetti Bold Prints on the ink blended background using Clear Embossing and Watermark ink and emboss using Detail White embossing powder . Trim to 4" x 5 1/4". Die cut "happy" 3 times from the Happy Thanks Stamp & Cut XL using Pitch Black cardstock and stack them up.

Stamp sentiment from Sending Love Mail on Pitch Black cardstock and emboss in white . Die cut the strip using the Bouquet Accessories Fancy Dies set. Assemble the elements on the ink blended panel and adhere using craft foam to a Dove White Top Folded Card .

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful week!

Hello, cardmaking friends! It’s Mona Tóth here, and I’m so happy to be back on the Spellbinders blog. Today, I’m sharing a Christmas step-by-step card tutorial featuring the Polar Friends Stamp and Die Set by Simon Hurley. This card was inspired by the Christmas advertisements I remember seeing on television when I was a child in the 1990s. They often featured polar bears surrounded by...
