Enza Gudor here with you today to share the first of three blog posts showcasing the gorgeous
Artomology collection by Jane Davenport for Spellbinders. I'll be mostly focusing on the beautiful and versatile die sets – I love the whimsical look of these designs!
The layout I'm bringing you features the
Fair Feathers Etched Dies.
This die set includes four different sizes of feather shapes, perfect to give movement and a more natural look to your projects. I decided to use the feathers to create a wreath, so I die cut them from a variety of patterned papers using the super cute
Deep Sea Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. This is the most adorable die cutting machine I have ever seen! It is a beautiful teal color, and features Jane Davenport's artwork, making it the perfect addition to your scrap room.
I arranged the shapes in a big circle that took pretty much the entire page, and adhered them down with clear liquid adhesive – some of the feathers were machine-stitched for added texture.
Next, I created a big cluster around my photo. After building several layers behind it with patterned papers and die cuts, I foam mounted it and placed it in the bottom left corner of the page. I then added floral elements, fussy-cut leaves, and other embellishments to make it pop. A smaller cluster of leaves and a sentiment in the opposite corner of the layout balanced out the design.
The title came from the
You Are Unique Die Set. I love the delicate font, and its size fit perfectly on top of the photo.
