Let's Be Frank Two Cards One Die Set | Spellbinders Live

Join Kim Kesti in the Creative Classroom as she creates sweet and spooky projects with the  Let’s Be Frank Halloween dies . Kim starts out her first card by inking the edges of Frank’s face. The separate forehead die isn’t necessary, but adds a fun bit of personality to Frank, so Kim added some inky edges to that layer too. In today’s video Kim shares a tip for creating the white of Frank’s eyes. She die cut a second face from white cardstock, and cuts the eyes out. Watch to see how the eyes are already partially cut, which makes it super simple to add this layer.

Next, Kim creates Frank’s hair. Be sure to keep an eye out for the foam sheets that Kim uses, coming soon to the Spellbinders shop. Die-cutting the hair from foam adds perfect dimension to finish off Frank’s head. Next up, Kim creates an inky blue background using Distress Oxide inks and a misting of water, plus a layer of striped patterned paper peeking out behind. Kim makes Frank’s hunched purple shoulders with a simple cardstock shape and she finishes him off with shiny, silver die-cut bolts. (We love the cute details on this die set!) The perfect frame to complete this card is the  Spider Web Corners Card Creator dies . This versatile set is great for Halloween projects because it can be used in so many ways. Kim wraps this card up with a fun sentiment from the  Spooky Greetings Glimmer Plate  that says  Creep it Real.  (Don’t miss the video to see the funny and unexpected embellishment that Kim finishes off this card with!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PszKJPhkFW0 The Let’s Be Frank die set contains not only the dies to create our friendly pal, Frank, (as you saw in the first video) but also the witch hat and legs, featured in the second video. Kim began this card with a background of Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade, and Wilted Violet Distress Inks, blended together. Next, Kim used the Spider Web Background set to add a shimmering Trick or Treat sentiment.

Kim die cut the witch hat from cardstock and from craft foam, layering them together for dimension. Watch the video to see Kim assemble some of the hat and boot accessories, and learn Kim’s super trick for adhering tiny die cut shapes.
