Pup-kin Parade: Two Designers, One Adorably Spooky Pumpkin Pup!

Get ready to fall in love with Halloween all over again — but this time, with floppy ears and a pumpkin costume! We’re thrilled to spotlight the Pupkin Etched Dies, a howlin’ adorable Spellbinders exclusive that’s bringing the cuteness (and the candy bucket!) to your craft table this spooky season.

This playful die set includes eight layering pieces to create a charming little pup all dressed up in their best jack-o’-lantern outfit — skull treat bucket in paw, of course. Whether you're building spooky cards, treat bags, or party invites, this pup is ready to trick-or-treat in style.

To celebrate this frightfully fun release, we invited two guest designers to share their own takes on this mischievous little pumpkin pup. From bold and bright to hauntingly elegant, each designer put their own spin on this character — and trust us, you’re going to want to see every tail-wagging detail.

Let’s dive into their creations and see how the Pupkin Etched Dies inspired a mini crafting costume party!

Amy Tsuruta says:

I love Pupkin in Spellbinders Merino Wool. He is on top of the Gathering Stitches Etched Dies from the Nichol's Needlework Collection by Nichol Spohr. The sentiment is from the Cats and Pugs Sentiments stamp set from the Bibi's Cats and Pugs. The Orchid is a nice pop of color for this card design. It’s great to stretch a design with the Petite Criss Cross Press Plate from the Merry Moments Collection.

Rebecca Keppel says:

What’s cuter than one Pupkin? How about three pups, all dressed as pumpkins with their own customized skull treat bags? Each pup can have a different color fur by choosing Raven, Fawn or Fog cardstock. And the skull treat buckets can be adorned with Color Essentials Gems for those who like bling!

How cute was that?! We’re so grateful to our guest designers for showing just how versatile and delightful this little pumpkin pup can be. Whether you’re crafting something silly, spooky, or sweet — the Pupkin Etched Dies bring a whole lot of personality to your Halloween projects.

Feeling inspired? Grab your favorite cardstock, dust off your die-cutting machine, and bring this pumpkin pal to life in your own style. Because if Halloween is all about dressing up, this pup is already winning best costume.

Happy haunting — and happy crafting!
