Hello friends! This is Mindy Eggen and I’m excited to be on the Spellbinders blog to share with you some inspiration using the House-Mouse Spring Has Sprung collection.
These are such great sets where you can stamp out a bunch of images, pack a handful of markers, and color on the go! You don’t even need to do a lot of coloring as these are so artistically drawn.
All of my images are stamped on Hammermill cardstock with alcohol marker-friendly ink. I followed the lines of the artist using my Copic markers to color in the image and enhance the look of texture with my darkest color of marker.
This first card I’m sharing is using the sweet scene from the Flower Shower stamp set.
These make the most adorable notecard sets. Even stamping them in embossing ink onto colored cardstock would be beautiful for a clean and simple design.
This next card is a super fun way to say Happy Birthday using the Birthday Wishes stamp set.
All of these stamps are red rubber stamps which provide some of the best quality of stamping and really catches all of the amazing detail of the image.
This next card really pulls in the Spring vibes with a scene set in a garden.
For a little added touch of sparkle, I added Unicorn Stickles to the glass from the garden scene and candles from the birthday cad.
Each colored panel is trimmed down using the A2 Matting Basic Die A to give a nice finished edge.
Then I trimmed out another panel of white cardstock using the Postage Rectangles, making sure that my rectangle would fit nicely within the postage cut.
Instead of adding these to a card base, I doubled up my rectangle layers and attached them to the postage panel. I can then write my message on the back which helps keep these simple lightweight for mailing.
