Hello, everyone! I'm thrilled to announce that the Wild Joker is the latest addition to the Jack of All Trades collection from Spellbinders. A huge thank you to all the talented crafters who have shared their amazing projects featuring the Jack of All Trades collection—I truly appreciate your creativity!
This playful jester perfectly fills an A2 card front and complements the entire Jack of All Trades collection from Spellbinders. The Wild Joker design looks stunning when crafted using a four-color palette, especially if you choose to keep the face and gloves white. To ensure precise alignment, there are etching lines on the legs and torso of the Joker. I had a blast experimenting with different poses for the Joker across the various card samples I created. The sentiment banner featuring the Joker pairs beautifully with the Shuffling Sentiments BetterPress Plate and Die Set. I discovered that die-cutting the Joker sentiment in the corners of my card front was just as effective, allowing for extra space to include additional sentiments from the Jack of All Trades Collection.
As I mentioned, the die-cut sentiment banner coordinates seamlessly with the Wild Joker sentiment die. The existing phrases from the Shuffling Sentiments BetterPress Plate and Die Set work beautifully to create playful card designs when paired with Wild Joker. Rather than crossing the Joker's arms as initially intended, I opted to open the arms, giving the illusion that the deck of cards is being “shuffled” in mid-air. The small playing cards included with the Wild Joker make perfect embellishments for this whimsical scene.
For a more subtle take on the Wild Joker, I combined elements from the Reversible Royal Court collection to create a joker queen. Instead of using the crowns from Reversible Royal Court, I swapped in the jewel end of the Wild Joker scepter. The queen holds the jester's face as a mask while also clutching a deck of cards. To tie the design together, I added the Joker banner across the seam where the two queens meet at the torso. Lastly, I incorporated the suits from Pip & Rank to emphasize the Wild Joker’s playful nature as a wild card.

For those of you who are new to my collection, my name is Jaycee Gaspar. I’m a full-time scientist and a passionate part-time paper crafter and content creator. With the introduction of Wild Joker, we’re excited to complete the collection of cutting dies and BetterPress Press Plates for creating a wonderful assortment (or deck) of playing cards.

I have the original set and have now ordered the Joker. Just need to find time to play with them all. Fell in love with the design. Just need to use them now! The Joker is stunning. Will you be offering a YouTube to learn how to put him together?
