Hello and happy Wednesday, friends! It’s time for this month’s Awesome Add-ons feature. Before we dive into the project inspiration, here’s a look at the all of the add-on products that we've released this month along with the June My Monthly Hero kit. This release celebrates the heavens - the stars, the planets, the moon - and even an animal who howls at the moon!

Today we're delighted to have Debi Adams here to share some fabulous “beyond the kit” ideas for a few of the add-ons.
Hi friends! Debi Adams here and I can tell you that there is no "June gloom" in the latest My Monthly Hero Kit and add-ons! There are however, tons of fantastic designs that feature the great outdoors, perfect for our approaching summertime. To get us moving in that direction, I have created two different cards, one showcasing the land and the other exploring the sea.
This first card has a layered howling wolf for easy coloring. There are three different images of the wolf that when layered together with various shades of ink, tint the entire animal. How easy is that? This makes for quick card creating. I borrowed the mountains and trees from the Color Layering Mountains at the Lake set for the backdrop. I created the background and the lake using Splash Reactive Ink with a blending tool. Navy Mid-Tone Shadow Ink deepened the edges of the sky and gave depth to the lake. Creating a glow to the mountains and lake was simply made by not blending in that area. Not a single marker was used on this card. I love using inks as much as possible.
"You’re a ONE OF A KIND friend" card uses last month’s Sun Background Stencil and the clouds from the You’re My Universe set from this month’s launch for the sunscape. A separate sheet of cardstock was embellished with Blue Hawaii, Blue Raspberry Reactive Inks and Navy Mid-Tone Shadow Ink. I misted water onto this piece then trimmed and adhered it to the card base. The jellyfish from Shine Bright was made to look "jelly-like" with Unicorn Pigment Ink. Finally, the Intense Black Ink dolphin and embossed sentiment were placed on the card with foam dots. Such cute images and perfect for the summer!

These are beautiful. I love your ink blending. I wish I would have bought the dolphin set because I think that dolphin is gorgeous. I did buy the wolf. Thanks for showing him with all the layers. He looks wonderful.
