Hip Hip Hooray, Birthday Balloons!

Hello there, crafty friend, I hope you're having a nice day! Seeka here and today I'm sharing a birthday card featuring the Festive Balloon stamp set and the coordinating Festive Balloon Frame Cuts. This stamp set is perfect for this month's Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge; the theme is Birthday Cards!

I started off by using the two balloon dies to cut four small and three large balloons from Dove White cardstock. Next, I used an Ink Blending Brush to add color to the die cuts. For the pink balloons, I started with Soft Pink Shadow Ink and then intensified the color at the bottom left of each balloon with Ultra Pink Mid-Tone Shadow Ink. For the blue balloons, I used Tide Pool Shadow Ink.

Next, I stamped sentiments onto one large pink and one large blue balloon in Onyx Pigment Ink. I used this same ink to stamp the tassels onto white cardstock and, when the ink was dry, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

For the background, I used Soft Sky Shadow Ink to stamp the Confetti Bold Prints background stamp onto a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of Dove White cardstock.

To assemble the card, I trimmed 3/8" off the width of the background panel and then used a variety of glue, glue dots, and foam tape to adhere the balloons. I started with the balloon in the background, stamped its balloon string in Moonstone Pigment Ink, and then adhered its tassel. I moved to the next balloon and followed the same three steps, repeating until I'd finished adding each balloon. To finish, I adhered the panel to an A2-sized Dove White Top-Folding Card.

Thank you so much for visiting! We invite you to create some birthday cards and join the Stay Crafty with Hero Birthday Card Challenge now through May 6.
