Introducing Two New Hero Arts Creative Team Members!

We are excited to welcome Jessica Frost-Ballas and Michelle Short to the Hero Arts Creative Team in 2017! You are going to love their creative styles as they join our amazing team of talented designers.

Let’s get to know them a little bit. First Jess….

Hi, I’m Jessica but most people call me Jess! I live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with my very supportive husband and a small furry herd: two senior shelties, a senior dutch bunny, and a sassy tortoiseshell cat who rules our house. I am a professional musician and spend my afternoons and evenings teaching harp and piano lessons or freelancing for weddings, parties, and performing ensembles! But my mornings and late nights are reserved for getting inky! I’ve been crafting in one form or another since I was a young child. One of my very first stamps was a unicorn wood stamp from Hero Arts that I used to color with markers, “huff” on to rewet the ink, and stamp on construction paper to make “cards”. Thankfully I’ve come a long way since the late 80s but I still love my Hero Arts stamps! Recently a friend described me as a card chameleon and I really like that description! I do love experimenting with different techniques and products but almost all of my cards have some element of sparkle or shimmer on them! And I am partial to the gorgeous background cling stamps and shimmer sprays that Hero Arts carries! I have had the honor of joining the Hero Arts Creative Team in a few release hops and My Monthly Hero hops recently and I love the family feel of this team and company (not to mention their outstanding products, of course!)! I am honored to join them and I hope that I can inspire you as they have inspired me!

Now let’s get to know Michelle…

Hi, I am Michelle. I am a 30 something living in London, England. I work as a part-time staff nurse. I absolutely love being able to work part-time as a nurse and part time crafting. In my spare time, I love to cook, paint, watch movies and spend time with friends and family. I have been crafting for over 10 years and as soon as I discovered stamping, I knew I would be hooked for life! I am very much a clean and simple card maker and I love colouring. Stamps will always be one of my favourite products to work with but I love using dies, inks, stencils and embellishments too. I am incredibly excited to be joining the Hero Arts Creative Team. Hero Arts are world renowned for producing amazing, high quality products as well as being an awesome, friendly company too. I am honoured to be joining their talented team.
