Join Us for a My Monthly Hero Make-Along!

Our next LIVE Make-Along event is this weekend! Join Channin to make along with the May 2024 My Monthly Hero kits. Gather your supplies and create cards with Channin from start to finish.

PS325 Dove White Hero Hues Premium Cardstock

PS772 Classic Vellum Layering Paper

AF249 Unicorn Pigment Ink

AF435 INTENS-ified Black Ink

PW122 Detail White Embossing Powder

WM204 Ocean Blue + Gold Metallic Spray

WM203 Bright Yellow + Copper Metallic Spray

WM207 Red + Shimmer Metallic Spray

WM201 Royal Purple + Gold Metallic Spray

GW101 Precision Glue

Stamp Positioning Tool ex. MISTI

Die-Cutting Machine

Foam Adhesive

Paper Trimmer

Black Watercolor

White Gel Pen

Copic Markers: Cake: E30 + E31; Frosting (sides): Y00 + Y11; Frosting (top)/Pink Flowers: R20 + R22, R17; Red Flowers: R22 + R17; Orange Flowers: YR04 + YR07, R05; Yellow Flowers: Y08 + YR15, YR07; Dark Orange Flower: YR07 + R05, R22; Strawberry: R22 + R17 + R27, YG63; Leaves: G43 + YG63; Candles: R20 + R22, Y02 + Y15

Instructions:

Card 1: Floral Cake Birthday Card (Classic Kit)

  1. Stamp the cake, cake slice, strawberry and three candles from the Floral Cake Stamp Set (Classic & Premium) onto Dove White cardstock in INTENS-ified Black Ink.
  2. Color the images in with alcohol markers.
  3. Die cut images out with coordinating dies (Classic & Premium).
  4. Fussy cut the candle off of the cake slice and use a white gel pen highlight to cover remaining black ink on the border.
  5. Adhere all the die cuts to an A2 top-folding white card base with foam adhesive.
  6. Stamp a sentiment from the Floral Cake Stamp Set (Classic & Premium) in INTENS-ified Black Ink onto the card front.
  7. Add white gel pen highlights to images.

Card 2: Balloon Congrats Card (Premium Kit)

  1. Stamp the cling stamp included in Premium kit in Unicorn White Pigment Ink or Embossing & Clear Ink onto an A2 panel of the included watercolor paper.
  2. Pour white embossing powder over and then heat set with a heat tool.
  3. Spray panel with Ocean Blue + Gold, Bright Yellow + Copper, Red + Shimmer, Royal Purple + Gold Metallic Sprays. Set aside to dry.
  4. When the spray is dry watercolor in negative spaces around the balloons and confetti with black watercolor paint. Set aside to dry.
  5. Die cut 2 “congrats” out of white cardstock and 1 out of vellum. Adhere two of the white diecuts together then adhered the vellum “congrats” behind and slightly off-set.
  6. Stamp a sentiment from the Floral Cake Stamp Set (Classic & Premium) in Unicorn White Pigment Ink or Embossing & Clear Ink onto Pitch Black cardstock. Pour White Embossing Powder over and heat set.
  7. Fussy cut sentiment out and then adhere over “congrats”.
  8. Adhere watercolor panel onto an A2 top-folding white card base. Asher sentiments to card front with foam adhesive.
