Sending Peaceful Vibes Your Way

Hey everybody! It's Maria here today and I'm sending out some peaceful vibes to everyone and hoping you're all having the best kind of day. Today's card features the new Mermaid Cove stamp set as well as the Zen Messages set.

I started out with a piece of A2 sized white cardstock (not watercolor paper) and sprayed it with my DIY Liquid Watercolor Sprays (add water and Liquid Watercolor or inker to a water mist bottle and you've got yourself a colorful spray). I used Teal and Pink Liquid Watercolors as well as Grape Slush Reactive inker. I added a lot of color to my sprays so that they would be heavily pigmented. The color was also enhanced by the fact that I used regular cardstock instead of watercolor cardstock. I wanted the edges of my card to be a little darker so I ink blended just a little bit with Blue Hawaii Reactive ink.

Next, I used Onyx Pigment ink to stamp my images and sentiment onto the card base. I heat embossed everything with clear embossing powder which provided a crisp, bold look. While I had my heat tool out I also heat embossed some of the tall kelp in white onto Pitch Black cardstock. I cut these images out with scissors and set them aside.

The next step was to splatter the whole background with Glimmer Metallic Ink in White. After that dried I was able to adhere my tall black kelp with foam adhesive. I love that this added both depth and dimension to my card.

That is it you guys! This is one of the easier cards I've made but I love how eye catching it turned out. Sending peaceful vibes and wishing you all a wonderful day!
