June My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #4 + Giveaway!

MMH Countdown to Creativity

I had so much fun playing with the June My Monthly Hero kit, which launches this coming Monday, June 6 at 1pm eastern! I decided to go a with a non-travel theme to show how versatile this kit really is! Paradise includes cupcakes for me!

Paradise by Amy Tsuruta for Hero Arts

Let me start from the bottom and work my way up. I used a hero_product_link sku="PS620" text="Blush Mixed Layering Panel"] for the base. Do you spy the hero_product_link sku="CG693" text="Sweet Sprinkles Bold Prints"] that I stamped in hero_product_link sku="AF249" text="Unicorn White"]? The Luggage Tag Die that comes with the main kit is awesome, I made mine into a shaker tag! The die was designed to use with a die cutting machine like the Sizzix Big Shot, but if you find yourself with shorter plates, here's what you do. Make sure you adhere down the die securely to the paper of choice, I used the hero_product_link sku="661149" text="Sizzix tan Paper Leather"] that comes in the kit.

Run it all the way through as you normally would then flip it around and re-run it through. It works like a charm...perfect tag! Here's a peek-a-boo shot that shows a smidge of the foam tape placement. It's not visible on the front of the card, I just wanted to show you how it was put together.

The stamps are wonderful, the possibilities are endless! I stamped my sentiment and then trimmed it to a long skinny tag. I found some vintage printed acetate in my stash and thought it would make a fun shaker window. The iridescent shaker mix adds fun pops of color!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing on Monday morning, before the kit launches at 1pm eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

I hope you've enjoyed this sneak peek into the June My Monthly Hero kit!
