Good morning! Emily here with you today to share a super feminine take on a llama. I love how these farm animals are getting a new lease on their design life with the new trends. Seems like if you add some flowers to a cute little farm animal, it's totally on trend! So, I tried my hand using our new Llama Stamp & Cut with an older floral set: Color Layering For You Flowers. Let's get started with the details!
I started by doing some stamping on a Pool colored card base using the Color Layering For You bundle. I first stamped each of the floral elements using white pigment ink, then restamped them and added the colored inks over the top. The layer of white ink beneath helps to keep the bright color from getting muddled on the colored card stock. I can't take credit for this technique; there are lots of videos showcasing this technique in action. I also added some white dots with a gel pen.
Next, I stamped and die cut the cute little llama and floral wreath from the Llama Stamp & Cut onto some white Copic-friendly card stock using Intense Black ink. I colored it with Copics. I die cut an oval from some heavy weight vellum, then white heat embossed the coordinating sentiment from Llama Stamp & Cut at the bottom. I adhered the die cuts to the vellum oval, then added foam adhesive behind the llama to hide it and mounted the piece onto the floral card front.
Well, that's all for me today! Critters aren't normally my forte, not in the same way that flowers are... but when I can combine them? Now that makes me happy! Thanks for visiting, and have a marvelous day!

Stamping white first was a great idea, then restamping. I find the Llama adorable. These animals are so cute, along with Fennec the Fox. Adorable!
