One Layer Watercolor Wash

Hello there, Michelle here and today I have a card to share using the beautiful Summer Garden Stamp Set. This was part of the My Monthly Hero Add-On collection for July. It is such a pretty set filled with lovely sentiments and lots of little images. I wanted to use lots of the images on my card today, so I decided to use them for a background.

I started off by taking a piece of watercolour paper and stamping the images from the set (I used almost all of them) on to this using Versamark Ink. I then applied White Embossing Powder and heat set. Using Tonic Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens and water, I added colour to the panel in shades of red, pink, orange and yellow. I thought they would give a nice summery feel to the card. I set the panel aside to air dry and then flicked over some water and heat set this to give some interest to the background.

I then took the ‘thinking of you’ sentiment from the set and stamped this towards the bottom of the panel, using Intense Black Ink. To give a nice neat edge to the card, I cut the panel using the largest of the Rectangle Infinity Dies. I then adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with tape runner. To finish off, I added a few jewels.

Thanks so much for popping by today, happy stamping!
