Partial Stenciling for Backgrounds

Hello! Jess here with a simple holiday card using partial stenciling with the Graphic Snowflake for a bright and vibrant background!

I placed the Graphic Snowflake Stencil on an angle over a piece of white cardstock and used blender brushes to blend Aegean, Summer Sky, Indigo, and Deep Ocean inks over the stencil. I kept my hand light to get a softer blend at the bottom that faded to white.

Then I stamped the pretty deer from Wonder and Magic of Christmas with Versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder before die-cutting it with the coordinating die. I stamped the sentiment from the same set with Versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder on black cardstock. I trimmed it down to a fishtail flag and adhered it to my stenciled panel. Then I used a little foam mounting tape to add my deer. I love the vibrant but soft background with the bold black sentiment and deer and I hope you do, too! Thanks for stopping by and have an amazing day!

Monica R,

It’s gorgeoys Jess, I love that your deer stands out, although you used black and white to your awesome background. Thank you so much for showing.

Henriétte,

Very nice! It looks so great with the blues and then the black.
