September My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #2 + Giveaway!

MMH Countdown to Creativity

We're back with another idea for using our September My Monthly Hero kit! And this post is from the person behind the handlettering in the kit - Clare Prezzia!! We love her gorgeous lettering, and we're thrilled to include it in this month's kit! Be sure to comment on this and every Countdown post – we’ll be giving away a kit on Tuesday morning, before the kit launches at 1pm eastern/10am pacific on Tuesday, September 6!

My favorite die from this month's release is the elegant branch included in the main kit - it's so stunning! I wanted to try something different with it, so I decided to watercolor it and then use it to cover the background of my card.

One of the great things about this month's kit is that the dies and most of the sentiments can be used year round! This color scheme is more of a spring look.

I wanted to keep the focus on the pretty background, so I simply heat embossed the sentiment (my handwriting - how crazy is that?!) hero_product_link sku="PW110" text="in white"] on some navy cardstock, die cut it using the hero_product_link sku="DI199" text="Circle Infinity dies"], and adhered it to the card.

For some finishing touches, I added some hero_product_link sku="CH215" text="white pearls"] and clear Wink of Stella to some leaves and the entire die cut sentiment.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Tuesday morning, September 6, before the kit launches at 1pm eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Thanks so much for stopping in with me today, and I hope you're as excited about this month's kit as I am!

I love the branch but the colored leaves are gorgeous.

Today, I’m sharing a Christmas step-by-step card tutorial featuring the Polar Friends Stamp and Die Set by Simon Hurley. This card was inspired by the Christmas advertisements I remember seeing on television when I was a child in the 1990s. They often featured polar bears surrounded by...
