Shimmery Fall Pumpkins

Hello and welcome! Seeka here and today I'm sharing a card featuring the Orange + Shimmer Tone-on-Tone Metallic Spray and Pumpkin Bunch stamp set.

I started off by heat embossing the large pumpkin bunch image onto Dove White cardstock using Onyx pigment ink and clear Ultra Fine Embossing Powder. Heat embossing an image is a great way to seal ink so that it doesn't smudge when you use plan to color the image using stencils.

Next, I used the Color Layering Pumpkin Bunch Stencils, blending brushes, and Core inks to color in the image. For the first layer, I used Tangerine ink to color the bodies of the pumpkins. Next, I used Pumpkin ink for the detail layer, to add some depth in the ridges of the pumpkin. Then, for the third layer, I used Caramel and Moss inks to color the stems and leaves. The stencil set includes two more layers for even more detail, but I already liked the results after three layers so stopped there.

To add shimmer, I replaced the first stencil layer over the image and then sprayed Orange + Shimmer Tone-on-Tone Metallic Spray over the pumpkins. This spray adds such a beautiful shimmer! I cut out the pumpkin image and then set it aside.

For the background, I stamped the Acanthus Bold Prints background stamp in Soft Olive ink onto a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of Dove White cardstock. Using foam tape, I adhered the pumpkins as well as a stamped and die cut sentiment from the Fall Fox Bundle. To finish, I glued the card front to a top-folding card base.

Thank you so much for visiting!
