One of my favorite things about card making is all the different ways you can add little details to a single project. A particular technique I love to use is dry embossing with dies, and the new Marquee Frame Fancy Die works so well for this!
For my card today, I started out by stamping some foliage from Peonies in Versamark on Bristol cardstock and then heat embossing with gold powder. After the images were heat set, I colored them in, using Pink, Purple and a orange combination of Strawberry and Dandelion for the flower, and then Leaf and Dark Teal for the leaves.
I then die-cut everything and set it aside to dry. While that was drying, I took the Marquee Frame Fancy Die and dry embossed it into my card panel. It's hard to tell in the main photo, but it is beautifully apparent in real life.
I then heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set in white on some purple layering paper, trimmed it out, and adhered it to the dry embossed card base.
I then adhered the flowers to the card base and topped it off with some pearls. That finishes off the card!
I love how ornate this die is - you can use it to make a powerful statement, like Libby's card HERE, or for intricate, more subtle details, like today's card.
