Good morning! Jess here with a festive card using a little ink blending and stenciling!
To start I took a panel of Hero Hues Cherry Cardstock cut to 4.25" by 5.5" and blended Raspberry Jam ink around the edges with a blending tool. I kept it heavy on the outside and lightened my touch as I got to the center of the panel. I let it dry for a few minutes and then taped the Poinsettia stencil over the panel. I applied a thin layer of gold glimmer paste over the stencil and then let it dry completely.
While my stenciled panel was drying I die-cut the Merry Christmas Banner from a matte gold foil cardstock. I also cut thin strips of Hero Hues Cranberry Cardstock and layered them behind the sentiment on the banner. I applied adhesive to the back of the banner and then added a tangle of metallic gold thread on top. Finally I added foam mounting tape over the thread and then adhered it to my stenciled panel. Keeping the layer of foam mounting tape between the panel and the thread gives the thread a little more dimension and lift instead of having it flat against the panel.
And that's it! I love how the little bit of ink blending really gives the panel more depth and then, of course, glittery gold makes everything better! ;) Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a fantastic week!
