Video: Ink Blending + Hot Foiling Magic

Hi crafty friends! It's Jeannie and today, I'm excited to share a new video with you focusing on the Large Circle Confetti Hot Foil Plate , which is such a versatile design that you can use with so many sentiments.

If you are having trouble viewing this video, please watch HERE on YouTube.

To create this card, I used the Large Circle Confetti Hot Foil Plate with Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock and my hot foil machine. I chose to hot foil with gold and silver hot foil. Remember! To create your sandwich, you place the hot foil plate facing up, add your foil with the pretty side down and then add your paper. Once I have both card panels, I decided to do some ink blending. Hot foil resists ink so ink blending right on top is a fun way to add color to your hot foiled panels. For my cards, I wanted to share two different looks you can create.

For my silver hot foil panel, I decided to take it to my paper cutter. I went ahead and cut it up without any accurate measurements into wonky strips of paper. With the Medium and Large Hero Tools Ink Blending Brushes, I inked up each strip with alternating colors: Key Lime Fizz , Splash , and Blue Raspberry . Then, I took some double sided adhesive and added it to printer paper. This way, I could easily put the strips together like a puzzle and trimmed it down to an A2 panel.

For my gold hot foil panel, I just wanted to do a fun ombre blend so I chose the colors Thistle , Grape Slush , and Purple Galaxy . I love how the shades of purple pop with the gold. I thought it would stand out even more if I mat it Pitch Black cardstock so I trimmed this panel down to 4" x 5.25".

For both cards, I wanted to use the same sentiments, which was the "thanks" die that I pulled out from the Happy Thanks Stamp & Cut XL set. I die cut the "thanks" die using Pitch Black cardstock and White Glitter Paper . I used a simple black "thanks" on the silver panel and I used the Pitch Black cardstock and the White Glitter Paper "thanks" offset (glued with Hero Arts Precision Glue) with the gold panel.

Thank you for joining me here today and I hope you enjoyed seeing these two cards! I had so much fun making them!
