Hello friends!! It's Channin here and today I'm creating a couple of cards featuring the new December Card Kit of the Month . In the video I demonstrate a fun and easy background technique using the Reactive Ink Inkers included in the kit and an old gift card.

To create these cards I first created the backgrounds. I started with an A2 panel of Luxe White Watercolor Paper . I then squeezed a couple drops of the Lemon Drop Inker (included in kit) onto a slick surface and added a couple sprays of water to the ink. Next, I mixed the ink and water together with an old plastic card (like a gift card). I then picked up some of the watered-down ink with the card and applied it to the watercolor panel in a swiping motion to create a streak of color. I made several more streaks on the panel and then dried the panel with my heat tool. Next I repeated this process with the Fruit Punch and Blue Hawaii inks (included in kit) to create a stripy panel that resembles a colorful plaid.
I then stamped several images from the clear set included in the card kit in INTENS-ified Black Ink onto Luxe White Watercolor Paper . I then squeezed a small amount of ink from each of the five inkers into the wells of the included plastic watercolor palette and watercolored the images in with the inks. When I finished watercoloring the images, I die cut them out with the coordinating dies.
Next, I trimmed the stripy watercolor panel down to create one panel measuring 2 3/4" x 4 1/8" and three smaller panels measuring 2 3/4" x 1 3/8". I then adhered the images to the panels with foam adhesive. Next, I adhered the panels to two white A2 top-folding card bases with foam adhesive. I then stamped two sentiments from the stamp set in Embossing & Watermark Ink onto some Pitch Black cardstock. I then poured white embossing powder over the sentiments and then heat set them and die cut them out with the coordinating dies. Lastly, I finished the cards by adhering the sentiments to the card fronts with foam adhesive.

This is a beautiful release. The examples provided by the Hero artists are gorgeous and creative. Channin’s and Hero creative staff rollout examples are inspirational.
However..operationally.. color me confused. What can I purchase? What can’t I buy for a month if I don’t subscribe? Subscriptions? Not my thing. All these new rules..yikes! I understand if this gets blocked..but..I hope it gets passed on to those in charge.
Still ..my compliments to the creative staff. Beautiful work.
