Video: Mixed Media Snowflakes

Can you believe we are almost at the holidays? I can't! I've leaned into holiday cards this year – maybe more than I've made in any other year, so I'll have lots of colorful mail to send after Thanksgiving.

One of my favorite types of cards to send is card with texture – when I receive cards with texture on them, it makes me happy – it makes it more than *just* a card if it has an element on it you can't buy in a store. One of the best ways to add a really durable texture is with Hero Paste – that stuff stands up to anything the post office can throw at it. So today's card features just that, and you can see how I created this card in the video below, using the following supplies:

Here's the finished card – see the purple peeking out? It adds so much to the blue.

Remember – watercolor always dries lighter, so be bold with your color!

Here's a closeup of the shimmery goodness.

Here's the video!

I would like to wish our US friends a very happy Thanksgiving – we are thankful for you!

Today, I’m sharing a Christmas step-by-step card tutorial featuring the Polar Friends Stamp and Die Set by Simon Hurley. This card was inspired by the Christmas advertisements I remember seeing on television when I was a child in the 1990s. They often featured polar bears surrounded by...

Hello, crafty friend! I’m Adrienne Boese, better known online as Alice Scraps Wonderland. I love a good interactive scrapbook page! It can be something as simple as a pocket or something more intricate like a waterfall mechanism or flips. Today, we are going to focus on one of those simple techniques - a pocket!  It’s the perfect technique to dip your toes into the interactive...
