Hi friends! I'm here today with a SUPER fun way to use the Hero Hues Reactive ink cubes . Ink cubes are such an economical way to sample an ink line, BUT - just their shape and size alone can be used as a design element, and that's what I'll be showing you in today's video.
The first card, which is the last project in the video, uses all the dreamy purples in the Hero Hues cubes: Berry Smoothie, Grape Slush, Thistle and Purple Galaxy – they come in a set !. I used a Gel Press petite to stamp the cubes onto, spritzed them with alcohol and printed a big grid. You will also see in the video what this technique looks like with water. I took that big grid and used the Hero Nesting Heart Infinity Dies to cut it out. I glued that on my card base, and stamped, die cut and colored the image from Flower Girls bundle for the foreground. Using complementary colors is my jam, so green and oranges and yellows were an easy choice to color her with. The sentiment is from Flower Girls as well.

Now the great thing about using alcohol is it keeps the pattern more precise. But if you want a more artsy look – use water! This version is more artsy and fun, so I did a quick sketchy line outline around the little grid. The bold lines of the Hello There Stamp & Cut are perfect to balance the artsy feel. The ink cubes I used here are from Sunshine Palette .
Finally – I used the blue sample from the video, featuring Sea Palette Reactive inks to showcase the sweet bees from Bee the Queen and the matching dies ! Since there were four bees, it was a match made in heaven!
Don't forget to add Sparkle Lacquer to your bee wings!

Wonderful look. I do not have a gel press. My question is: did you spritz the paper or the gel press with the water and alcohol?
