Hey there, crafty friends! Today, I'm excited to share a romantic shaker card creation featuring the January Fancy Dies of the Month and Mini Clay Hearts. This adorable design is perfect for Valentine's Day or any occasion that calls for a little love.
To start, I die-cut a heart border from Cranberry Cardstock using the heart dies from the January Card Kit of the Month. Next, I cut a large heart from Peony Cardstock using the largest of the heart dies.
I added double-sided tape to the back of the heart border and adhered it to an Acetate Sheet, trimming the excess acetate from the edges. To create a shaker element, I added adhesive foam strips to the back of the heart border and filled it with Mini Clay Hearts. How adorable are those hearts?!
I sealed the shaker by adhering the solid Peony heart to the back. Next, I die-cut foliage and bloom shapes from Cranberry and Peony Cardstock using the January Fancy Dies of the Month. I also die-cut a small envelope from Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock.
I stamped the sentiment "hello love" from the January Clear Set + Dies of the Month in Intens-ified Black Ink and die-cut it with the coordinating die. I adhered the foliage, blooms, and sentiment to the envelope. When assembling intricate designs like this, I find it helpful to work from the bottom up, starting with the largest elements and adding smaller details last. This helps prevent mistakes and makes the process less overwhelming.
To assemble the card, I adhered the shaker piece to a white A2-sized card panel and added the envelope on top. Finally, I added Clear Hero Hues Enamel Dots to the centers of the blooms for a touch of shine.
