White Holiday Collage Mixed Media

Hello everyone, it is Natasha here and I am super excited for my first post on the Hero Arts blog as a Creative Team member! For today's card I am using the White Holiday Collage Hero Transfers to create a holiday card with a mixed media style!

I started by creating the background for my card using Luxe White Watercolor Paper and Hero Arts Reactive Inks in the following colors: Pool Party, Berry Smoothie, Blue Hawaii, and Purple Galaxy. I started by smooshing the ink pad onto my surface, then spritzing the ink with water, then dipping the paper into the ink. Next I dried the ink with my heat tool and then added water droplets to the ink and picked up color with a paper towel. I repeated this process with all the colors until I had the texture and color I was looking for. I created two panels using this process.

Next I used the White Holiday Collage Hero Transfers on my background. I chose several from the pack and added them to the card panel. I love the transfers and they are so easy to use! I then added some more texture to the background using the Stripy Stencil with both White and Gold Hero Paste. I applied the pastes in various places through the stencil with the Hero Tools Palette Knife. I set the panel aside to dry. Once the panel was dry I trimmed the panel using the Nesting Rectangle Infinity Dies.

I used the second card panel I created and die cut three circles using the Nesting Circle Infinity Dies. I then added transfers to each circle from the White Holiday Collage Hero Transfers. I added dimension to each circle by die cutting smaller circles from the Nesting Circle Infinity Dies and adhering them to the back of each circle using Precision Glue.

I completed my card by adhering the card panel onto a Top Folded Card using Precision Glue. I then adhered the circle die cuts using both Precision Glue and foam tape. I added a sentiment from the Holiday Message Strips Hero Transfers by transferring the rub on to Pitch Black cardstock and adhering with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will see you soon!
