Winter Town Cheer in Two Ways

Hello creative friends! This is Rachel Kleinman here for my first official Hero Arts blog post (internally screaming!)! Today I'll be sharing two very different cards using the same featured items: the Winter Town Cheer stamp set and Tag Infinity Dies.

First I'll start with the gold and silver card. I just love how this came together paired up with the older Etched Winter Scene Bold Prints stamp. I started by heat embossing the Etched Winter Scene on Pitch Black cardstock with Gold Embossing Powder. I then die cut with the largest Infinity Tags Die.

I then stamped the sweet images from Winter Town Cheer with Embossing + Watermark ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. The finished images were die cut and glued to the tag to create a winter village scene. I wanted some flair to the card background, so I used the Bold Graphic Hot Foil Plate with silver foiling. I love the mix of silver and gold together!

Next I'm going to share my rainbow winter scene card. I think I must've used about every ink color I own for this one! It's pure joy!

When stamping bold images in colored ink, I often like to ink in two colors to add some shading to one side. For example, the red house was first stamped completely with Azalea ink. Then I added Pale Tomato ink just to one side of the stamp and stamped again for the shading. Here's the ink breakdown of each house so you can recreate them:

• Red house: Azalea + Pale Tomato shading
Orange house: Papaya + Tangerine shading
Yellow house: Dandelion + Butter Bar shading
Green house: Kiwi + Green Hills shading
Blue house: Mist + Bermuda shading
Purple house: Orchid + Grape Juice shading

The pine trees were stamped with Green Apple, the mailbox with Nautical, and the smoke with Granite ink. All images were die cut to add to the card.

I die cut the largest Tags Infinity Die in Cherry cardstock and the slightly smaller tag from White Dove cardstock. The images were adhered with Precision Glue to the white tag. I placed the entire tag panel on a rectangle base cut from Arctic cardstock. Finally, the sentiment was stamped with Intensified Black ink.

I hope you've been inspired to use this sweet Winter Town Cheer stamp to finish off your holiday and winter cards. Thanks for stopping in!
