2 Days of Stitchmas Advent Calendar | Day 12 with Marie Heiderscheit

I’m showing off Day 12, which is this darling little angel die so you can add some stitched details to. Let’s take a look!

Watch video tutorial below or on our Youtube channel:

I decided to go with the colors gold, white, blue and silver for my cards. I like sticking to a color palette when creating multiple cards with the same craft supplies. That way, even when I change up the design on each card they still feel like a coordinating set. I cut out an angel for my first card using gold and white cardstock. I also colored the face and hands with an alcohol marker. Then, I used gold thread to do the stitching on the angel’s robe.

I also paired this little angel with the Day 4 die which is a beautiful die that spells “NOEL”. There is the option to do stitching on the “O” of the Noel, but to keep the focus on my angel I left it plain and just layered the angel over that part. I wrapped some thread around the base layer and then added the top layer over it with some foam adhesive. For my second card, I used blue and silver. I used a plaid glimmer plate from Spellbinders and then glimmered it with silver foil for the background.

I layered on top of that my angel and the Noel die again. This time using the nested oval die set and adhering the silver Noel with my blue and gold angel. I tied on some silver thread to my top layer before adding it with foam adhesive. There you have it! Two designs of Christmas cards were created using the Day 12 angel die from Spellbinders’ 12 Days of Christmas Advent calendar. I hope this has given you some inspiration in your own crafting! Thanks for stopping by! Marie Nicole
