Blast Off: Exploring Simon's Space Adventure Collection
Get ready to take your cardmaking to stellar heights! Jean Manis here to share three cards created with products in Simon’s Space Adventure Collection from Spellbinders! The collection includes a mix of dies, an embossing folder, and stencils, perfect for creating out-of-this-world cards. Designed to work with the Simon Hurley – Platinum Scout Die Cutting & Embossing Machine, the dies in this collection are packed with details that bring every space-themed element to life.
To the Moon
Show your love with a card that features a rocket ship soaring toward the moon against a starry sky, paired with a heartfelt sentiment.
Apply Silver Lining paste to Snowdrift cardstock; set aside to dry. Once dry, cut moon using a die in the To the Moon Attach to bottom piece, cut from gray cardstock with the additional moon die in the set.
Add planet and assembled UFO to card with foam adhesive. Add the sentiment with dot adhesive or glue.
Interstellar Friendship Card
This slimline card showcases a UFO accompanied by two aliens equipped with space bubbles, set against a dry-embossed starry background and finished with a simple yet cheerful sentiment.
With the Starry Night folder, emboss a Onyx cardstock panel measuring 3 ½” x 7”. Trim the Royal Amethyst piece and add to the Onyx Add assembly to a card base.
Using dies in the UFO Friend set, cut the pieces for the UFO and aliens from a variety of cardstock colors and textures. Cut space bubbles with the bottom piece of the moon die in the To the Moon Assemble UFO and aliens.
Add aliens, sentiment, and assembled UFO to card with foam adhesive.

These are such fun playful cards. Love how Jean gives a great description of how these cards were put together. What a great idea she did on the 3rd card using the embossing folder in both directions. Very clever!
