Exploring the Not Your Ordinary Card Collection

Hi Spellbinders fans. Alanna Moses from EmbellishCraftLove.com and I am very excited to be guesting on the Spellbinders blog today. I have the honor of sharing the Not Your Ordinary Card Collection from Wendy Vecchi and Spellbinders. This is a fantastic collection of products which includes a stencil set and four die sets. Each of the products is available for separate purchase or there is a bundle for a limited time with savings.

THANKS A MILLION

1. Use Build a Plaid Layered stencil set and stencil with three shades of yellow ink. Use Golden Rose Paper Glaze for one layer
2. Die cut floral and leaf images from the Essential Envelope die set from both kraft and white cardstock
3. Add kraft ink to leaf images to add dimension
4. Die cut stenciled panel with Nestabilities Labels Eight die set and add to kraft A2 notecard with foam squares
5. Adhere florals and leaves to card panel
6. Add foiled sentiment from the Always and Forever Sentiment Strips Press Plate and Die Set
7. Finish off the card by adding in a few Fashion Oyster Color Essentials Pearl Dots

MERRY CHRISTMAS

1. Emboss red cardstock with Argyle Plaid 3D embossing folder and trim down to 4x5.25 inches
2. Add touches of Gilded Foundry Wax onto embossed panel and use heat gun to dry
3. Add embossed panel to white A2 notecard
4. Die cut the white panel using pinking edge die from the Pinking Edge Birthday Add-Ons die set
5. Die cut the leafy cluster die from the Christmas Add-Ons stamp and die set about 8 times from green cardstock and the bow images from red cardstock
6. Add green ink to die cuts for shading using blending brushes. Add Gilded Foundry Wax onto some of the leaves and use heat gun to dry
7. Assemble leaf die cuts onto white panel and adhere
8. Stamp sentiment from the Christmas Add-Ons stamp and die set with red ink and then use a coordinating die to cut it out. Die cut outline die 4 more times to stack for added dimension
9. Add panel to the background with foam squares and attach bow die cut
10. Finish off card by adding in a few Fashion Taupe Color Essentials Pearl Dots

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAKER CARD

1. On a white A2 notecard, add yellow ink to the center of panel using a large blending brush fading the color out
2. Take largest die from the Pinking Edge Birthday Add-Ons die set and one of the dies from the Perfect Touch Rectangles and Tag die set and tape together with Best Ever Craft Tape.
3. Die cut 6 or 7 times to create the walls for the shaker element and adhere together
4. Add piece of Clear Acetate sheet over top of die cuts and then add one more of the die-cut frames over top
5. Add Aura Opalescent Color Essential Sequins directly to the card base and attach die cut frames over top sandwiching in all the sequins
6. Die-cut birthday cake dies from the Pinking Edge Birthday Add-Ons die set from white cardstock.
7. Blend on pink ink to icing layers and adhere to cake
8. Take a yellow marker and color candle flames
9. Adhere foiled sentiment from the Always and Forever Sentiment Strips Press Plate and Die Set using Gold foil
10. Add birthday cake above the sentiment and finish off the card by adding Glossy Accents to candle flames
11. Finish off card by adding in 3 Aura Opalescent Color Essential Sequins directly to the cake
