Gift Package Ideas using Susan’s Garden Favorites

Hello! My name is Jen Kotas and I’m so happy to be on the Spellbinders blog today. I’ve created three projects using the new Susan’s Garden Favorites. What a wonderful new collection of flowers from Susan Tierney-Cockburn!

I love the dimension of these flowers so I thought it would be fun to create a few projects that won’t get crushed like a card might. I could not complete these projects without using Susan's Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. Please see Susan’s videos on Spellbinders YouTube channel for flowers assembly instructions.

I die cut the Trillium Etched Dies and the Dogwood Etched Dies for this box. I then assembled the flowers on a small piece of cardstock before adhering it to the lace wrapped around the box. The lace slides on and off to open the box. The leaves had green ink added for shading before I shaped them. The color was added to the dogwood petals with a marker. I also added Glaze n’ Glue to the ladybug after attaching it.

For this box, I added washi tape to the top of the box only. The Sunflower and Ladybugs Etched Dies and the Peach Blossom Etched Dies were cut from colored cardstock. I added shading to the petals with dye inks. Then they were adhered directly to the box top. I thought it would be fun to add a button to the center of the sunflower. I again added Glaze n’ Glue to the ladybugs after attaching them.

For the tag, I adhered two pre-made tags together. I stamped the sentiment from the Garden Favorites Sentiments Clear Stamp Set in brown ink then added a thin gold washi tape strip below it. The Sunflower and Ladybugs Etched Dies and the Bearded Iris Etched Dies were die cut from colored cardstock and shading was added with dye inks. I added a button to the center of this sunflower as well. A velvet ribbon was tied and adhered to the top of the tag before a thin twine was added to attach the tag to the bag. I once more added Glaze n’ Glue to the ladybug after attaching it.
