In Faith - Foiling and Diecutting

Hello crafty friends! I’m Jean, a papercrafter blogging at Right as Rain. I am delighted to be on the Spellbinders blog today sharing CAS cards created with the Faith Collection. With this collection, you can craft beautiful cards for a variety of faith-based occasions – baptisms, confirmations, first communions, and bereavement – to name a few. Let’s take a look!

What's New at Spellbinders | Expressions of Faith Collection - includes a beautiful etched die cross, a Glimmer and die Cross set and lastly, a lovely Glimmer faith-based sentiment set. Ideal for holiday cards, baptisms, sympathy cards, Easter and more.

On the first card, I combined a die-cut Kaleidoscope Cross with a glimmer-foiled sentiment.

  • Add other gold panel to inside of card. Adhere sentiment.

On the final card, a slight variation of the second card, I combined the Gleaming Cross with a glimmer-foiled sentiment.

  • Foil Gleaming Cross pieces in Gold on Pool Play cardstock. The smaller piece of the cross is foiled a total of three times. Cut foiled pieces with coordinating dies.
  • Assemble cross by taping pieces together at center from the back; adhere center piece at the junction.
  • With the Faith Glimmer Sentiments set, foil sentiment in Gold on Whip Cream cardstock. Cut with coordinating die.
  • Using largest rectangle and dotted border dies in the Nestabilities Essential Rectangles set, cut panel from Whip Cream cardstock.
  • Adhere the panel to a Brush Gold card base. Attach cross to front with foam adhesive. Adhere sentiment inside card.

As usual, Jean’s cards are beautiful. That Inspire embossing folder was the perfect touch!
