Jane Davenport Stamp Camp | 4 Ways to Use Beautiful Images on Cards with Therese Calvird

Hi there, it’s Therese Calvird here and you usually will find me at my blog Lostinpaper. I was thrilled to be asked to share some inspiration using these fabulous stamps designed by Jane Davenport.

These images have the most wonderful sketchy style and would be perfect for many types of papercraft, I could definitely see them on a scrapbook layout, but if you know me then you already know that I’m all about the cards.  And today I have 4 to share! I thought it would be easier to share the process in a video and you can find that linked below (you can also watch it on Youtube).  But basically I created 2 styles of card and have 2 examples of each.  Starting with clean and simple. These beautiful sketchy images are perfect for some simple Copic colouring, but I also know that they would look great painted with watercolours too.

They are perfect for clean and simple designs and are large enough to make a great focal point on a card.  And looking at this, I think would be perfect for a teenage girl’s card!

My next two cards both incorporate pencil colouring on a blended background.  This gives the image a very unique look and is such fun to do.

These mermaids are beautiful, I had such fun colouring them!  I decided to add some dimension to both the cards by die cutting a rectangle in the centre and popping that up.

Although my final card changes it up a little by stamping directly on the card front and popping up the coloured image over top.

Cardstock – white, black, gray, Fun Foam, Black Ink, Embossing Ink, Distress Oxide Inks (Picked Raspberry, Cracked Pistachio, Wilted Violet), Copics, Prismacolor Pencils, Prisma Glitter, Clear Droplets, white ink spray, Crystal Katana, Heat tool, Blending tool.
