Tulips To Make You Smile

Hi friends, Vic here today and I am so excited to be back on the Spellbinders blog. I have created three cards using the gorgeous Tulip Card Collection by Simon Hurley. This collection is just absolutely beautiful and I really love how big the Tulips are. I had so much fun creating with this collection. I am such a big fan of Tulips! I have used some bright and cheerful colors of card to go along with my cards today. I hope they make you smile! Tulips To Make You Smile For my first card, I used a piece of white card that I embossed using the Twirling Tulips 3D Embossing Folder. This embossing folder is so detailed and I love using embossed images on my cards. I adhered this onto my card base and I then went ahead and used the Tulip Trio Etched Dies.  I die cut the tulips using some bright card and I adhered my tulips together. I then added some extra foliage to my card using the Everyday Foliage Etched Dies. For my greeting, I used the Handwritten Sentiments Etched Dies. I adore these sentiments and I die cut the Happy Birthday die using white and blue card. I adhered this onto my card base and added the tulips and then the foliage. For my second card that I have made and I wanted a fun, bright card. I used a green piece of card that I then embossed using the  Twirling Tulips 3D Embossing Folder.  I then die-cut some tulips using the Tulip Trio Etched Dies, and added these to the bottom of my card. For the sentiment I die cut the word congrats using the Handwritten Sentiments Etched Dies. I really adore the font on these dies and there are quite a few different sentiments in this collection. They are perfect for adding sentiments to your cards and other projects. For my third card, I had lots of fun using the stunning stencil from the Twirling Tulips 3D Embossing Folder and Stencil. I started by using a piece of white card and using one layer at a time I gently applied my inks over the stencils. I started with the leaves first and then the flowers as I found this way a bit easier. Once all the inks were applied to the card base I then trimmed this down to size. I added my stenciled card to my card base and then die-cut some tulips using the Tulip Trio Etched Dies. I also added some pretty foliage using the Everyday Foliage Etched Dies. I adhered my foliage and flowers to the bottom of the card. I added a greeting to my card using the  Handwritten Sentiments Etched Dies. I popped the sentiment at the top of my card.
