A Fall Hello With Hero Wax and Paste

Hello and welcome! Seeka here and today I'm sharing a card made using a combination of Gold Hero Paste and Berry Hero Wax. These two media play so well together!

I began by positioning the Leaf Circle Stencil over a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of Deluxe Smooth White cardstock and using low-tack tape to temporarily hold the stencil in place. Next, I used a palette knife to spread Gold Hero Paste over the stencil. When I had a solid layer of paste down, I quickly wiped the palette knife clean and then used it to spread just a bit of Berry Hero Wax over the middle of the stencil. I worked my way outward, focusing the red over the center of the stencil and using a light hand to blend it out over the gold. Berry is a beautiful red color but blended into gold it lightens into a perfect coppery fall color!

Next, I carefully removed the stencil and immediately cleaned it before the paste and the wax dried.

While the panel was drying, I used the die from the Hello There Stamp & Cut set to die cut Plum cardstock, twice. I stacked and glued the two die cuts together and then, when the panel was dry, I used foam tape to adhere the sentiment to the background. To finish, I glued the card front to a top-folding card base.

Thank you so much for visiting!

Beautiful card and the fall colors remind me of the colors back east.

I am new here. My first kit is the Nov one. Your card is beautiful and your instructions easy to follow. Can’t wait to try this technique. I’m 72 so have the time!

Micheline Beattie,

This is a beautiful mixed-media card. Love the colors.
