My recent galaxy obsession was sparked by the August My Monthly Hero collection. The optional add-ons are all super fun. Here’s a project that features the Milky Way Window Fancy Die and the Astronomical stamp set.
Let’s start with the Milky Way Window Fancy Die. It really is amazing and filled with such lovely features and details. I started with a watercolor panel and designed a galaxy with Distress Oxide inks. Jennifer McGuire showed the Distress Oxide galaxy technique as part of her August My Monthly Hero Blog Hop post. The Fancy Die cuts through the watercolor panel like butter! I backed the star in the upper right hand corner with glitter cardstock.
The background panel is watercolor paper that uses the same galaxy technique. I made sure that the area where I placed my sentiment was primarily black. The gold embossing really pops, doesn’t it?!
The background panel has plenty of splatters of white. It really does finish off the card. I just made sure that I masked off the sentiment.
