August My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway

Hello friends, thanks so much for joining us during the countdown these past few days! Jess is here to share the final peek at the August My Monthly Hero Kit before tomorrow's release at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific.

Hello! Jess here with a clean and simple look at the August My Monthly Hero kit!

I love the peaceful feel to this kit and decided to create my own version of a paradise: complete with books and a soft kitty! :) I started by stamping the images with Intense-ified Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers. Once I was done coloring I die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I also die-cut the 'Greetings From' sentiment from Hero Hues Pitch Black cardstock.

Next I blended a little Splash Reactive Ink onto a panel of Hero Hues Dove White cardstock using a blending brush. Then I use my MISTI to stamp the rest of the sentiment with Intens-ified Black Ink. I trimmed the panel down to 4" by 5.25" and adhered it to a Dove White top-folding card base. Finally I added my die-cut images and the sentiment. I also decided to fussy cut the kitty and nestle him into the hanging chair to make it look even more seamless! It's a simple scene but I find the most relaxing times are often the simplest! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic rest of your weekend!
