New baby cards are pretty much my favorite type of cards to create; combining cute animal images with pretty papers and ribbons is just my style. So, for my card today, I decided to create a new baby card featuring the adorable hero_product_link sku="Di180" text="Paper Layering Hedgehog Die"] which is available at retailers now, and will be arriving in our own store tomorrow. I just love the way this little hedgehog is curled up in a ball - just like an itty bitty new baby.
To make my card, I first die cut the hedgehog from watercolor cardstock, then loosely watercolored with brown paint. Once dry, I added a black gemstone for her nose, and tucked a little ribbon bow behind her ear. I stamped the sentiment from Little One onto some patterned paper, stitched the edges, then adhered the hedgehog above the sentiment with foam tape. Finally, I added the completed panel to a Snow Folded Card.
I like to experiment with more neutral colours with new baby cards - something to stand out among the sea of baby pink!
