Hello Spring

Hello! I can’t believe that we’re almost wrapping up the month of February. Where does the time go? I don’t know about you but I’m looking forward to Spring.

Hello Spring by Amy Tsuruta for Hero Arts

Today I’m featuring the new Color Layering Birds and Blossoms set. This is one of my favorites because I simply adore cherry blossoms. There are a couple locations in the Seattle area that are filled with cherry blossoms in the Spring and one of the best places to go is the University of Washington campus.

I managed to design this card using only 3 colors of Hero Arts Shadow Inks:

Soft Brown

Cup O’ Joe

Bubble Gum

I did a bit of watercoloring around the branches and flowers to add more interest.

The beauty of this set is you can as many or as little flowers to the branches. It’s totally up to your preference. The bird has been first stamped with Soft Brown and then layered with Cup O’ Joe. I popped him up on a foam square adhesive for added texture. Foliage Mixed Layering Papers is one of my favorites. The celadon panel adds to the Spring theme, don’t you agree?

Truth: I’m addicted to the Infinity Dies, they are a must have!

That’s it for me, thanks so much for stopping by!
