July My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway

Hiya friends! We are continuing the countdown to the release of the July My Monthly Hero Kit! Release day is tomorrow, Monday, July 1 at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. This is the final countdown post before Monday's launch. Now let's join Ilina for another look at this lake day kit!

Hi everyone! I hope you enjoyed all the sneak peeks from the July kit so far. I have a final one for you before the launch tomorrow. I love this kit as it reminds me of home and my summer vacations at the Lake Ohrid. This card was actually inspired by one of the sunsets there.

To make the card I started by stamping the mountains using Blue Hawaii Reactive ink. The second layer was stamped with Sea Salt Reactive ink. I die cut using the coordinating die that comes in the kit and trimmed the bottom. (The die cuts only the top, so it gives you more possibilities for creating your card.)

Cut a panel of Dove White cardstock measuring 3 3/4" x 5", mask about half way and create an ink blended background using the following inks:

top: Berry Smoothie, Grape Slush and Thistle Reactive inks

bottom: Deep Ocean ink and Blue Hawaii, Grape Slush and Berry Smoothie Reactive inks.

Once dry, splatter some Sea Salt Reactive ink and White Iridescent Shimmer Spray on the top portion.

Stamp the sentiment using Clear Embossing & Watermark ink and emboss in white.

Next, stamp the board walk using Soft Brown and Ombre Soft Brown to Cup O' Joe inks, and die cut with the coordinating dies. Adhere it and the mountains to the panel.

Using fun foam adhere to top folding white note card.
